You are a passenger aboard the HMCS, a British vessel where one of the other eight guests is your assigned target, and you are theirs. The core challenge is to analyze, stalk, and discreetly eliminate your quarry before they identify and strike you first. This is a social deduction hunt where every other character, from fellow hunters to wandering NPCs, could be a threat or a decoy. Success depends on sharp observation, understanding behavioral tells, and mastering the multi-level environments of the ship to execute the perfect, unseen takedown.
Core Gameplay and Strategic Systems
The game begins with narrative context delivered through a personal letter from a guest, immediately placing you within the ship's tense social hierarchy. Movement is controlled via an on-screen virtual joystick, with a simple tap to rotate the camera for surveying corridors, grand halls, and deck areas from any angle. A dynamic suspicion system is central to gameplay: a green indicator activates when you have a clear line of sight on your target, while a red warning signals that you are currently vulnerable and being hunted. This requires constant environmental awareness and the use of crowds and scenery for cover.
Direct interaction is context-sensitive. When a suspected target is within range, an action button appears to execute a takedown. The 3D visual design provides clear identification of player models and key environmental objects, ensuring gameplay clarity amidst the chaotic social simulation.
